The beauty of a new day

Waking up before the sun has came up is a real treat. First thing is coffee then I get Rosie (my fur baby) and we step outside. The birds are always busy doing what birds do and the morning glories have just opened up and are ready for a new day. Hummingbirds are flying by finding flowers to enjoy. What a beautiful way to wake up.

This morning when I looked up Grandmother moon was there in the blue sky with a few clouds surrounding her. The clouds had a touch of pink with the sun almost ready to peak out from the small mountain. Oh what a treat!

In this grateful moment in time I decided to snap a couple pictures of the moon and morning glories.

We have been blessed with a awesome monsoon season this year. We have a few days of dry weather before they start up again. We are so thankful for the rain.

I wanted to share these few pictures . There is beauty all around us. We don’t even have to go away from where we are to find it. The magic of Mother Earth surrounds us.

Fringed leather handbag > Beaded bear Paw

It’s a beautiful afternoon in sunny Arizona. There has been a lot going on here at our home. The gardens are in. We have some new bags to show you but today I would like to show you this one. I love this bohemian, tribal , handmade handbag. This bag has lots of long fringe and is made in soft palomino leather. I love the way the beaded bear paw sits in the corner of the bag. I beaded the bear paw in black and brown glass seed beads.

This year John and I put a fence in the front of our home. We decided to have a container garden along the fence but leave it open so Rosie can run and play. A zen garden. We did plant in our raised beds in the back and I will show those in another blog post.

We are all really enjoying this new space we created. It will be fun to watch it grow and change over the years.

Home and garden with family

Everyday something new is being created in my home. Beadwork , leatherwork, food , and on and on. Life is one big creative process making life interesting. Even when blogging you are creating something that you hope someone somewhere will find interesting. There are so many different peoples and interesting subjects all you can do is follow your heart and post what your interests in life are. Even in the garden there is a creative process that goes on. You never really know how it will all go in a year but the magic of nature is of course magical and honestly it is just part of the journey. In everything we do you can learn, in my opinion. Life is one big teaching like you are in school and you can choose to learn from your day or not. I have heard it called earth school. I can totally relate to that. In all the years I have lived on our beautiful Mother Earth I have done my best to learn from what life gave me that day. It truly is not easy but it makes sense and it helps you understand yourself and who you are. Especially if you can quiet yourself enough to feel what is happening right in the moment. Even that is not that easy to pull off. In the society we are living in everything is speeded up, in a hurry and impatience is on the rise. So I practice being patient although in all honesty some days are easier than others. There are those who really do push you to your limit to say the least.You see when I sat down to blog I had no idea what I was going to write about. This is where it all went so far. Starting with a couple of my bead projects.

Our beautiful granddaughter visited us this summer! Oh what a treat for us! Here we are in the garden with one of our sunflowers.

So that’s it for today! In our daily lives there is so very much to be grateful for. Things that bring us joy, laughter and grace. One thing I have learned is do your best to roll with it and let the river move freely with out resistance. One you start to resist stress accumulates. Do the best to steer your boat and stay on track but roll with it.
