Fringed Leather Tote with Beaded Turtle

Good morning! My blog has a new look. I found out that my old theme was going out so I had to decide what theme to use. It’s not that easy to pick one. Long story short, tada! Hopefully when I publish all will look great. In the world of computers there are always changes to keep up with. Just like life……. 🙂

A while back I posted on our facebook page a beaded turtle work in progress picture. I have finished the beaded turtle and made a tote for it to live on. That is what I would like to show you today. All the pictures have a link back to this bag.

The beaded turtle has a beautiful turquoise cabochon in the center as a focal point. The beads next to the turquoise cabochon are fire polish glass beads I purchased from Janice at Flutterbye Bead Supply on Etsy. The seed beads are size 11 and I sell them in our bead and leather supply store Thunder Rose Supplies.

Measurements on this tote are 10 inches tall x 10 inches wide x 2 3/4 inches deep. It has an extra pocket inside. This leather tote makes a great everyday bag. I carry one this size and love it.

As you can see there is a lot of room. I wear mine crossbody and I find it very easy to open and close with the antler tip closure. It is very easy and convenient to get in and out of and the antler tip closure is very secure.

This beaded leather tote is waiting for it’s new home.

Festival bag for Grateful Dead fans

Good morning friends!

We have been working on some new projects . Today I would like to share one of our new , ready to ship deadhead art bags. This one is done in palomino buckskin and has a beaded stealie with dancing bears and a turtle on a glass cabochon for a focal point on the front of the bag. I beaded around this beautiful cabochon with green and purple beads.

This bag measures 7 inches tall x 5.5 inches wide and has a 48 inch four point braided shoulder strap. This deadhead art bag has an antler tip closure on the front of the bag.

This picture shows that this leather bag would be a great place to keep your phone and few other things when you want to travel light and take a few items with you. This crossbody bag is light and the fringes can dance with you.

This is a closeup of the beaded rosette I did for this bag. It is one of my smaller deadhead art bag rosettes. I will be making more of these in different styles and look forward to sharing them with you. So stay tuned! 🙂

Good morning friends! It is a rainy Sunday here in Arizona. I am usually out in my garden. But it is a rainy morning so it’s a great day for a blog post.

John and I have been working hard in our shop this week we have a couple of new leather bags to show you. These are in different colors.

We have a British tan leather, crossbody , bohemian bag. With lots of long fringe.

A handmade leather handbag with lots of fringe. This bag is made of soft British tan cowhide and measures 9.5 inches tall, 8.5 inches wide and 2.75 inches deep not including the fringe. It has an extra pocket inside, a pocket outside on the back and hand tied fringe all around, front and back. The braided shoulder strap is 48 inches. We can make the strap any length you like.

We also have a really cute palomino leather small shoulder bag that is perfect for wearing crossbody or over your shoulder. Because the four point braided strap is so flexible you can even tie it around you waist. When we make the leather bag we can make the strap any length you like.
