First of all we hope everyone is well and staying safe. The last time I did a blog post I had no idea what was in store. So here we are. John and I are still making leather bags and doing beading everyday. We are so grateful that we have this to do. Also our garden is coming along very nice this year.
So today I want to share a couple of ready to ship leather clutches we have. They are a nice size 8.5 inches wide x 5 inches tall x 1.5 inches deep. Each one has an antler tip closure on the front of the bag.
Both of these leather clutches are made in soft durable genuine leather. They are completely hand stitched. Come by our website and check these beauties out.
It’s always wonderful when spring rolls around. Warmer weather , starting the garden, seeing new flowers spring up and perennial plants come back to life. This year has been a bit different and everyone is doing their best to try and get used to this new normal. I would say trying to wrap our minds around what none of us have experienced. So one day at a time, knowing nothing in life is permanent and never has been. Another change, and for now the air is better where it has not been in a very long time. It’s quiet outside too. Rolling with change is better for you than fighting against it. Although I have to say going to town is a bit weird now. John and I are a couple of home bodies anyway only going when we need something. We are making our art and planting our garden and doing pretty much what we always do but going to town for groceries much less.
Thank god for our beads and leather work art. We have something to create everyday.
This small Iris is the first flower this year. It’s my favorite color (purple). But I love all the details in this beauty.
Next our spring daffodils bloomed. They are so pretty. This is my birth month flower.
This is our little River. He has been in our family since last August. He loves his yard and playing ball. We have a fenced in back and front yard on our acre of ground, where he is on squirrel and lizard patrol. He lets them know he is the boss. What a sweetheart he is! 🙂
Blessings to all of you going forward. May you have comfort , good health and much love and light around you always!
Hi friends! We have a couple ready to ship leather handbags to show you.
This beautiful red leather handbag that can be worn crossbody and is boho style with fringe down the sides. This bag makes a great bag for your phone and a few other items. It also makes a great bag for your journal. Let’s say you are going to the park or a walk in the woods and want to do some writing. Maybe a poem or your deepest thoughts. This bag would be perfect to carry your journal in.
This one is a larger bag that makes a great everyday bag. This one is made in soft burgundy leather and features an extra pocket inside and one on the back. This is a crossbody bohemian style handbag .
Both of these handbags are unique and one of kind all handmade and hand stitched.
You can find them by clicking on the links that will lead you directly to them in our ready to ship section on Etsy. We have many handbags and medicine bags ready to ship in our Etsy shop. Shop the first 3 sections for ready to ship items.
It’s a beautiful day with mostly sunshine after a few days of rain. What a blessings to hear the rain on the roof and the thunder beings were around too! I really appreciate it when the rain comes. We have needed it for some time now.
The parsley is still growing in the garden. It will be here all winter. That is also a blessing. This year I brought the basil plant in and it loves being inside. It makes the soups I make taste so good.
We got a lot of creating done this week. I did several beadworks. That was fun. Here are a couple small bags I did. Also a four directions beaded cedar bag.
These are all done in buckskin leather . The first two medicine pouches are beaded directly to the leather. The beaded cedar bag has a four directions beadwork on the front. It has double cut fringe off the bottom. Whenever I make these for my customers they choose where they would like the colors because for every tribe it is different.
So cold weather has come or maybe? It’s has been so cold for about a week (at night) daytime is perfect if the wind isn’t blowing. Frost got the flowers for the year but some of the green leaves are hanging in there. They are pretty tuff plants. River and I went out to watch and or chase the birds lol so I snapped a couple pictures. I have been working on taking apart the garden beds in the garden and sifting the dirt . That way I can make the dirt much better with some work. Container gardening is the answer for me at my age and because the moles and gophers are relentless. So to live peacefully with them I choose to have containers. Better for me anyway.
This is a picture of a mesquite tree in our back garden area. This is where the birds come to eat the food I put out for them. River, our sweet little boy we adopted this summer, likes to chase the birds and play ball.
You can see the awesome wood pile, in the background, we have to keep us warm. The squirrels love the wood pile. They are out there playing all day long unless the hawks come by.
This is River and his tennis ball. He loves to play catch.
We had a beautiful flower garden this year that brought us a lot of good feelings. Here are some pictures.
Even though the summer was way too hot we had a good time. It’s always a blessing to see all the flowers , herbs , and birds.
Good morning! We have finally come around to really nice cooler weather here in Cornville, Arizona. It was a very dry hot summer so this is a real relief. I decided to show a beaded belt bag that we made a week or so ago. It is made in soft saddle tan leather and along with the belt loop we made a 4 point braided strap so our customers can wear it as a shoulder bag as well as a belt bag. This leather hip bag has a beaded eagle. I started beading the beaded eagle first. Here is a work in progress picture. I had just finished the rosette.
This beaded eagle has the eagle in the center and the 4 direction colors around the outside.
The next thing is making the belt bag and sewing the rosette down . Once the rosette is sewn down it’s time to lace around the beadwork.
Here is the finished product. This beaded belt bag is made to order and comes in a variety of colors of leather and also can be purchased with or without the braided strap. Here is a link directly to the bag
