Beaded leather bag, A week in motion

This week I created a small burgundy leather bag that has a sweet pink and purple heart on it.

I love hearts and decided to bead around this beautiful opaque pink mauve heart that I found in my friend Janice’s shop Flutterbye Bead Supplies .

Next to the heart I added some amethyst Czech fire polished glass beads ( from Flutterbye bead supplies )  and then some beautiful pink and purple glass seed beads that we have have in our bead and leather supply store Thunder Rose Leather.

A few years back after creating many leather handbags and adding beadwork to some of our bags we opened up a leather and bead supply store. Thunder Rose Leather

It has grown a lot and now we sell scrap leather, leather laces , glass seed beads, deer antler tips and a few antler beads. Thunder Rose Leather

Now with that said this week we put together a couple bags with beaded rosettes.

This one started with this sweet beaded heart.

These are work in progress pictures of the heart beadwork I did before attaching it to the burgundy leather bag.

There are so many steps that go into making a handmade, hand stitched leather bag with a beaded rosette.

This small leather bag measures 5.25 inches tall x 4 inches wide . The usable space is 5 inches tall x 3.75 inches wide.

The shoulder strap is adjustable and 48 inches long.
